PM Imran asks WHO DG to develop travel guidelines for all countries.

ISLAMABAD -- Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Monday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked World health Organisation (WHO) Director General Tedros Adhanom to develop travel guidelines to be adopted by all countries to ensure that low income countries are not discriminated against in global travel.

The federal minister took to the twitter and said that WHO DG Tedros Adhanom during a telephonic conversation with PM Imran Khan has recognized the positive trend in COVID-19 curtailment in Pakistan.

The prime minister called upon the WHO to play its role in engaging member states to remove COVID-19 related travel restrictions for Pakistan and other developing countries.

He also stressed the need to work towards a data driven system of non-discriminatory travel rules.
