PM appreciates KP govt's efforts for price control.

PESHAWAR -- Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the steps taken by provincial government against price hike, hoardings and adulteration of edible items in the province.

A statement issued here said that prime minister chaired the meeting through video link, which was also attended by chief minister of Punjab and chief secretaries of Sindh and Balochistan.

It said that prime minister appreciated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for its efforts to control prices.

He said that emergency measures should be taken against adulteration, which was taking its toll on children of the country.

He directed all the provincial governments to chalk out a comprehensive strategy to control adulteration within one week after which a national strategy to control adulteration would be devised to tackle the alarming issue.

Briefing the prime minister, Mahmood Khan said that he was directly monitoring situation of prices, adulteration, encroachments, hoardings, khuli kutcheris and other administrative matters through digital dashboard in which all the data was collected from independent and third party sources.
