Plastic worth millions reduced to ashes.

GUJRANWALA -- A fire reduced raw material worth millions in a plastic factory in Wazirabad on Thursday.

According to reports, Muhammad Amjad, a resident of Jinnah Colony, went home in afternoon for lunch. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in his plastic due to a short circuit and engulfed all the plastic raw material in no time. Workers ran out of the building immediately to save their lives.

Responding to a call, Rescue 1122, along with teams of the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) reached the spot and suspended the electricity supply to the building to stop the fire from spreading.

District Emergency Officer Syed Abid Kamal said it took the firefighters two hours to extinguish the fire. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
