PIMA shocked over deduction in health providers' salaries.

KARACHI -- PIMA on Friday expressed its grave concern over the 10% deduction from salaries of healthcare providers by Sindh government. In a statement, it said that healthcare providers are fighting as frontliners against Corona, while the Punjab government had announced an additional one month salary for them, but the Sindh government was doing contrary to it.

PIMA also stressed on the provision of basic PPE in primary and secondary healthcare facilities where doctors were working without even basic protections. Although the PIMA along with other NGOs such as Al- Khidmat and Dua Foundation is trying its level best to fulfill the basic needs of healthcare providers but in current scenario, the demand is enormous and only State can coup with it, it says.
