Petroleum dealers seek increase in profit margin.

BAHAWALPUR -- A number of members of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, Bahawalpur, on Saturday took to the street for acceptance of their demand regarding increase in their margin of profit (commission).

The protest rally which began from University Chowk paraded the main roads up to the press club. The demonstrators carried banners and placards inscribed with their demand of the increase of their commission.

Speaking to the protesters, PresidentMuhammad Yaseen and Abdul Sami Khan, chairman Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, Bahawalpur, and other office-bearers said that due to high prices of essential commodities, their expenditures had increased manifold due to which the running of fuel pumps had become very difficult.

They said one hundred per cent increase in power tariff, increase in the salaries of their employees and fifty per cent increase in oil expenditureor power generationdue to price hike in oil had made things difficult for them.

Theyclaimed that due to increase in all sorts of operational cost, it was now very difficult to run the fuel pumps...
