Peshawar Press Club gets new office-bearers.

PESHAWAR -- The annual elections of Peshawar Press Club were held on Saturday wherein Syed Bukhar Shah was elected president and Imran Yousufzai general secretary.

Arshad Aziz Malik and Nasir Hussain were runners-up in the elections for the seats of president and general secretary respectively.

The third panel headed by Alamgir Khan as presidential candidate and Riffat Orakzai as candidate for the slot of general secretary could not win any of the seats.

The other office-bearers include vice president Shahzada Fahd, finance secretary Aziz Buneri and joint secretary Abid Khan.

The 10-member governing body includes Shamim Shahid, Zeeshan Anwar, Tariq Waheed, Kashifuddin, Ihtesham Bashir, Ibrahim Khan, Zafar Iqbal, Asif Nisar, Hassan Ali and Shakil Farman Ali. A total of 32 journalists contested for the 10 seats of governing body.
