Peshawar lifts Inter-College Games trophy.

PESHAWAR -- Peshawar has clinched the overall trophy of the first Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-College Games by winning three gold and two silver medals.

Mardan region secured second position by winning one gold and one silver while Bannu grabbed third spot with two silver medals here on Thursday.

Peshawar region players won the overall trophy in the women's cricket. In badminton, Hazara beat Peshawar 3-2, while in volleyball final, Peshawar defeated Bannu 3-1 to win the gold medal.

In the men's competitions, Peshawar defeated Bannu 3-0 in volleyball, and Mardan defeated Chitral 12-11 in football on penalty kicks after the two teams played a 1-1 draw. In cricket final, Swat defeated Peshawar by 43 runs.
