People facing up to 18 hours of load shedding in Ramadan.

ISLAMABAD -- Former President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt on Wednesday said the intensity of weather and power crisis is increasing in the country.

There are no signs of reduction in inflation, which is damaging everything for three years, he said.

Shahid Rasheed Butt said that the demand for electricity is increasing as the weather is getting warmer but the power production is decreasing and the shortfall has increased to seven and a half thousand megawatts.

People in different parts of the country are suffering from ten to eighteen hours of load shedding which is a gift of the previous incompetent cabal.

He said that as soon as the former government realized that it could not survive a no-confidence vote, it broke the agreement with the IMF and deliberately created crises in various sectors.
