KARACHI -- A suspected robber, said to be a local government candidate of a political party, was captured by area people after he shot at and wounded a man over resistance in Baldia Town on Monday, police said.

The Madina Colony police said that armed muggers fired at Irfan Zaman, 40, when he resisted their robbery bid.
