PCB yet to appoint CFO as deadline expires.

LAHORE -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), after having failed to appoint the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the 90-day period given in its constitution, has sought another 90 days from its Board of Governors to replace the previous CFO Badar M Khan with a new one.

Badar M Khan, former CFO, resigned from the PCB on Jan 31, 2020 after 11 years of service. According to the constitution, a new CFO should have been appointed around May 2.

'Yes, due to other works including hosting Bangladesh and Pakistan Super League, the PCB could not meet the deadline given in the constitution. But as the constitution allows another 90 days, subject to the Board of Governors'permission, we have sought it and now we will advertise the post soon,' said PCB Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan.

'Though the post is a major one, the PCB is confident about hiring the new CFO well before the end of the extended deadline,' said Wasim.
