Pb govt taking measures for best transport facilities: Secy Transport.

FAISALABAD -- Punjab Secretary Transport Asad Rehman Gilani Wednesday said the provincial government was taking measures for providing best transport facilities to passengers across the province.

He expressed the views during a meeting held with Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali at his office here Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and other officers were present on the occasion.

The secretary said that 'Vehicle Inspection and Certification System' was being introduced for checking vehicles' fitness.

Later, the secretary visited general bus stand and city transport terminal and checked passing of vehicles, fitness, fare.

He talked with passengers at waiting areas and inquired about the fares and facilities at the stands.
