Patwaris' shortage to be addressed soon: CS.

LAHORE -- The divisional commissioners have pointed out a shortage of patwaris in the revenue department.

Punjab Chief Secretary retired Maj Azam Suleman Khan told the commissioners that the matter of recruitment of patwaris would be taken up in the next meeting. He directed that tehsildars and patwaris should perform their duties with improved coordination between them.

The chief secretary was chairing a meeting of commissioners here on Monday. Senior Board of Revenue member, Lahore commissioner and deputy commissioner were present in the meeting, while commissioners of other divisions joined through video link.

The chief secretary also directed the divisional commissioners to regularly conduct field visits, maintain close liaison with parliamentarians, besides remaining accessible to the public so that people's problems could be resolved. He also directed all field officers...
