Pasban eyes Karachi mayor seat in coming polls.

KARACHI -- Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Altaf Shakoor has said that his party would win the coming local bodies' election in megacity Karachi and nominate its own mayor. Addressing a workers' convention at the Superhighway Sunday evening, he said PDP have roots in all parts of the megacity. It is supported by the people belonging to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds as its agenda is to serve the Karachi wholeheartedly without any discrimination.

He said we will eradicate the remaining no-go areas from the megacity and bring a balance in linguistic demography of Karachi through harmony and brotherhood. He said we will rebuild Karachi and make it the most advanced city of this whole region. He said we will revolutionize housing, education, healthcare, public transport and social security sectors and create millions of new jobs by making new industrial corridors.
