Parts of Thar get pre-monsoon showers.

MITHI -- The eastern parts of Tharparkar received the first pre-monsoon showers on Sunday night and Monday.

The areas which received light to moderate spells of showers coupled with thunderous lightning included Chhachhro, Dahli and Nagarparkar bringing down the persisting high temperatures in the district.

Local people in large numbers came out of their houses to enjoy the rainfall that would provide them relief to some extent as the region has been facing a drought-like situation for months.
