Pakistani cueists off to winning start at worlds.

KARACHI -- Pakistani cueists opened their campaign in the IBSF World Snooker Championships in the Turkish city of Antalya on a winning note on Tuesday.

According to results made available here, promising Mubashir Raza blanked Belgium's Kevin Hanssens straight 122-1, 65-10, 75-31, 82-27 in Group 'B' opener. The highlight of the match was an excellent century break of 101 in the first frame and was followed by 65, 65 and 60 respectively in the following three frames.

Former world champion and currently Pakistan No. 1 Mohammad Asif also sent Turkish cueist Enes Bakircl packing in similar fashion (58-40. 65-1, 80-38, 91-8) in Group 'C'.

Two more Pakistani cueists - Zulfiqar A. Qadir and Babar Masih - are also competing in the men's event.
