Pakistan, US renew pledge for coop in diverse sectors.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan and the United States have reAaffirmed their strong commitment to promoting economic growth, energy security, partnership in long-term flood rehabilitation efforts, and strengthenAing their overall relationship.

The bilateral ties were discussed in a meeting between Prime MinisAter Shehbaz Sharif and visiting AssisAtant Secretary for the Bureau of EnAergy Resources at the US Department of State Geoffery Pyatt.

Geoffery Pyatt is leading a delegaAtion to Pakistan for the Pak-US EnerAgy Security Dialogue. The prime minAister appreciated the holding of the Pakistan-US Energy SecuriAty Dialogue on promoting enAergy security that would be beneficial for both countries. He encouraged further investAment in the country's energy infrastructure which would also help transition towards clean energy.
