Pakistan urges reconciliation in Middle East to unite Muslim Ummah.

NEW YORK -- At the United Nations, Pakistan has urged for reconciliation within the Middle East region to avoid further instability.

This was stated by Pakistan's outgoing permanent representative to United Nations, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi while participating in a debate on the prevailing situation in Middle East in the Security Council.

The Pakistani envoy said it is essential for a peaceful and prosperous Middle East.

She said Pakistan's solidarity with the people of Palestine is firm and unwavering.
