Pakistan, UAE have significant convergence in political views on regional, global issues: NA speaker.

ISLAMABAD -- National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Thursday said Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had significant convergence in political views on host of regional and global issues, which provided an opportunity to develop a strategic, broad-based and compressive partnership in the diverse sectors.

He said this while talking to UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Saleem Al-Zaabi, who called on him here at the Parliament House.

Referring to the parliamentary relations between the two countries' legislatures, he said enhanced exchange of parliamentary delegations would further solidify the bilateral relations.

The NA speaker extended an invitation to his UAE counterpart to visit Pakistan, which, he said, would pave the way for further enhancing bilateral trade and commercial activities.

Drawing attention of the UAE ambassador to the atrocities being committed by the tyrant Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris, he said the world community should take cognizance of them and should resolve the issues in accordance with the aspirations of people of Kashmir.
