Pakistan: the land of fast bowlers.

Pakistan is renowned throughout the world for its pace of attack. It has a rich history of fast bowlers who possessed the distinguished ability to make the ball talk: generating exquisite pace, bowling immaculate lines and lengths and swinging the bowl both ways. On the other hand, one can say that the display of fast bowling at PSL6 is showing that this quality of Pakistan pace attack is diminishing.

Back in the day, there was a time when Pakistan used to believe that it could win any match even if the team posted a total of fewer than 200 runs. However, with the passage of time, this ability of the Pakistan cricket team is getting lost. One can attribute this to the change in fielding restrictions, use of two different bowls from both ends along with shorter boundaries, but still, at least bowlers who have been in the international cricket for more than a decade are not expected to bowl low full tosses, or go for plenty or choose not to complete their quota of complete four overs and ask a youngster to take the bait in a domestic T20 tournament.
