Pakistan reports record 111 deaths from Covid-19 in one day; death toll rises to 2,839.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan recorded 111 coronavirus deaths in one day here on Tuesday, the highest single-day rise since the outbreak. 4,443 new Coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 148,921. The death toll from the virus stands at 2,839 with 111 deaths reported over the last 24 hours. 25,015 corona tests were carried out during the last 24 hours; meanwhile so far total 922,665 coronavirus tests have been conducted in whole country.

56,390 patients have so far recovered from the disease; meanwhile 89,692 active coronaviuirs are present in the country. The patients with critical condition are also increasing with the passage of everyday and number of critical coronaviurs patients reached 3,515 on Tuesday. Punjab province is at first position in terms of coronavirus patients and death due to coronavirus.

According to the latest numbers of coronavirus patients issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday, in Punjab after sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 55,878 in the province. The province reported 1081 coronavirus (COVID-19) causalities. So far 17,730 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease and there are 37,067 active coronavirus patients present in the province.

In Sindh the cases of infection have surged to 55,581, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 853 in the province. 28,023 coronavirus patients have recovered from the virus so far and there are 26,705 active cases...
