Pakistan registers deadliest day of coronavirus pandemic with 136 deaths; number of deaths rises to 2,975.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan has confirmed 136 deaths - highest till date - by novel coronavirus in one day as the number of positive cases has surged to 154,760. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,975 on Wednesday. Meanwhile there are 2,841 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. So far 58,437 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile currently there are 93,348 active coronavirus patient in country.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 5,839 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours. During the last 24 hours 28,117 tests have been conducted; meanwhile so far 950,782 total coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country.
