ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan has invited D: 8 Nations to join hands and work together to make the D: 8 alliance food secure.

Federal Minister for Board of Investment and Special Initiative, Chaudhary Salik Hussain, and Secretary BOI, Ms Fareena Mazhar are in Istanbul to participate in the D: 8 Investment Conference, being held on 16 June 2022, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the D: 8 Organization. 'I am happy to state that Pakistan's agriculture sector, being the backbone of our economy, posted a growth of 4.4 percent in FY2022 owing to a 6.6 percent growth in crops and 3.3 percent increase in livestock production. The government of Pakistan is focusing on providing special relief in taxes and duties on different agriculture equipment and machinery.
