Pak Army kills nine Indian soldiers in response to unprovoked Indian firing at LoC: DG ISPR.

RAWALPINDI/MUZAFFARABAD -- Nine soldiers of the Indian army were killed and many others injured when Pakistan Army troops gave a "befitting response" to Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs) in Jura, Shahkot and Nousehri Khuiratta and Kotkhetera Tatta Pani sectors along the Line of Control, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Sunday.

Initially DG ISPR in a tweet said that firing by Indian troops martyred one Pakistani soldier and two civilians. "Two soldiers and five civilians were injured in cross-border firing," the statement said.

'Indian unprovoked CFVs in Jura, Shahkot and Nousehri Sectors deliberately targeting civilians. Effectively responded. Nine Indian soldiers killed several injured,' DG ISPR said. He added two Indian bunkers were also destroyed in firing by Pakistani soldiers.

During exchange of fire 1 soldier and 3 civilians shaheed, 2 soldiers and 5 civilians injured'.

In another tweet, DG ISPR said that targeting innocent civilians by Indian Army is an attempt to justify their false claims of targeting alleged camps. Injured civilians evacuated to District hospitals. He said that UNMOGIP as well as domestic and foreign media have open access to AJK, a liberty not available in IOJ and K.

DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor in another tweet said that Indian Army shall always get befitting response to CFVs. Pakistan Army shall protect innocent civilians along LOC and inflict unbearable...
