Pak and Afghanistan handled Covid better than India, Rahul Gandhi hits out at Modi govt.

NEW DELHI -- Indian Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday hit out at the Narendra Modi-led Bhatrtia Janta Party (BJP) government its over handling of coronavirus pandemic, saying that even Pakistan and Afghanistan controlled COVID better than India. Gandhi took a swipe at the government on Twitter by tagging a chart that showed IMF growth projections for 2020-21 for Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, China, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and India. The chart showed that Pakistan and Afghanistan are expected to experience a dip of 0.40% and 5% in their GDP growth this fiscal whereas India's GDP is likely to shrink by 10.3%, the highest contraction among the countries mentioned. Rahul Gandhi wrote: Another solid achievement by the BJP government. Even Pakistan and Afghanistan handled Covid better than India."
