PAC panel orders inquiry into 'illegal hiring'.

ISLAMABAD -- A subcommittee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) ordered a fact-finding inquiry into the alleged illegal hiring of consultants and sub-consultants by Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) management.

The subcommittee met here with its convener Burjess Tahir in the chair. The meeting reviewed the audit objections related to SIDCL, as well as the planning ministry relating to fiscal year 2017-18 and 2018-19.

Audit officials said that consultants and sub-consultants were hired illegally by the SIDCL management. On that the committee directed for conducting the fact-finding inquiry into the matter.
