Over 240kg drugs seized.

SWABI -- The police on Tuesday seized over 240 kilograms drugs from secret sections of a car during checking of vehicles at the Swabi-Jehangira Bridge here.

District police officer Najamul Hussain told reporters that the seizure included over 88kg hashish and 52kg opium. He said the drugs were being smuggled to Punjab.

He said a police team led by DSP Chota Lahor Shafiur Rehman and SHO Tordher Mukhtiar Khan had created a blockage at the bridge on a tip-off that a drug smuggling bid would be made.
