ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad Traffic Police have expedited action against violators of rules and issued 1,752 tickets to road users during the last 24 hours, a police public relations officer said on Sunday.

The operation was expedited to implement traffic rules and maintain smooth flow of traffic in the capital city, he said.

'Various police teams issued 1,752 fine tickets to road users over violation of traffic rules in which 103 challans were issued over lane violations, 52 for red signal violations, 110 for using mobile phones during driving, 163 for amateur driving, 53 over violation of one-way, 16 for driving on the wrong side of the road, 32 for violation of zebra crossing, 26 for not fastening seat belts, 83 for having tinted glasses, 11 for emitting smoke, 104...
