Outlaw killed in Swabi encounter.

SWABI -- A proclaimed offender was killed in an encounter with the police here on Thursday night.

District police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan told mediapersons that personnel of Yar Husain, Swabi city and Tordher police stations, on a tip-off, raided a hujra (guest house) in Dawlat village of Yar Hussain, and asked three criminals inside it to surrender, but they started fire, forcing the personnel to return the shots.

As a result, he said PO Khayyam Khan of Jalbai village was killed on the spot, while his two accomplices escaped. He said the police recovered two pistols, four magazines, several cartridges, a liquor bottle, two motorcycles and mobile phones from the hujra of Salman Khan.
