Orange Line train to run from January: Buzdar.

LAHORE -- Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has announced the Orange Line Metro Train will be functional from January next.

'The train's fare will be fixed considering the purchasing power of the common man,' he said.

The chief minister made this announcement while chairing a meeting to review the orange line metro train project at his office on Wednesday. He directed officials concerned to make the train operational at the earliest for the benefit of people. The chief minister will himself be the chief guest at the launch ceremony of test trial of the train.

He heard train's test trial would be run on electricity. Work on 13 stations from Dera Gujran to Anarkali has been completed and the train will become operational on the sector from Oct 28.

The chief minister was told the work on remaining 11 stations would be completed by early November and after completion of work, test trial for running of orange line metro train by electricity on the complete track would be conducted.
