Opposition rallies condemn Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

PESHAWAR -- Black day was observed in Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday to condemn Indian oppression in occupied Kashmir and express solidarity with the people of the held valley.

Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan planted 'Kashmir Freedom trees' at a ceremony in Peshawar to express solidarity with the people of India-held Kashmir, said an official statement.

They also prayed for the liberation of Kashmiri Muslims from Indian tyranny and brutality along with prayers for the goodness of entire Muslim Ummah. In his message, chief minister strongly condemned Indian's oppression and domination of Kashmiri Muslims.

JUI-F workers use occasion to rehearse for Azadi March

He said that Pakistan firmly supported the stance of Kashmiris and would continue to support their right of self-determination. He said that Pakistanis stood strong with Kashmiri people till their freedom.

Later on, the governor and chief minister along with the members of provincial assembly also held Kashmir solidarity walk.

On the other hand, opposition parties took out vehicular procession in Peshawar on Sunday to observe black day against the India's illegal occupation of Kashmir and show solidarity with the people of the held valley.

A large number of workers of JUI-F, PML-N, PPP, Qaumi Watan Party and civil society groups participated in the rally, which was taken out from the JUI-F provincial secretariat. After passing through different roads, the procession culminated at the JUI-F secretariat.

The black day rally was in fact a rehearsal for the anti-government's Azadi March to be taken out from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on October 31. The participants of the rally were carrying their respective parties' flags. The JUI-F workers overshadowed the procession and were chanting slogans against the PTI government.
