Opp blames govt for delayed NA session.

ISLAMABAD -- The joint opposition, on the first day of the current National Assembly session, blamed the government for deliberately not calling the session for two months. With the start of the proceedings, the opposition raised matter of calling the session on a short notice. 'The session of National Assembly was called on 12 hours notice. It was difficult for the members from other cities to reach Parliament House,' said PPP-P senior MNA, on a point of order, mentioning that government should not summon session on a short notice as the lawmakers had to come from different parts of the country. PML-N's Ahsan Iqbal made mockery of the government by saying that this government has treated the Parliament like a theatre. 'Session is called on a short notice like blowing a whistle. Is it sanctity of the Parliament?,' Ahsan Iqbal questioned. 'Even sessions of union councils are called on 72 hours notice, but this government summoned session only on 12 hours notice,' he remarked.
