One killed, four injured in separate incidents.

TAXILA -- A man allegedly shot his elder brother dead over a land dispute in Bohigar village in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station on Sunday. On the other hand, four other persons were injured in an accident.

According to the police, there was a dispute between the two brothers over a five marla piece of agricultural land. On Sunday, they got into an argument and one of the brothers identified as Safeer Shah was shot dead.

Later, police shifted his body to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, four persons were injured critically after a passenger train hit a rickshaw on an unmanned level crossing near Bassal police station in Attock.

According to railway police, the rickshaw driver did not see the approaching train due to dense fog. The injured were shifted to different hospitals. Respective police registered separate cases and launched further investigation.

Separately, Attock police intercepted three drug peddlers along with recovery of hashish and opium from their possession on Sunday. Police said, on a tip off, a drug supplier Mohammad Ilyas was searched and arrested by Hazro police on the charge of possessing 2kg hashish. Pindigheb police took into custody Waseem Akram with 530 grams of hashish and Zahid Zafar with 530 grams of opium. Later on, cases under the Narcotics Act were registered against all three. During preliminary investigation, the suspects disclosed details about their network.

Moreover, unknown persons took away grocery food items along with live power wire from the outskirts of business hub Gondal Mandi. Dr Sheikh Inam Rabbani reported to the local police that some unknown...
