One dies, two injured in Urdu Bazaar fire.

LAHORE -- A man died while two others were injured in a fire incident in Urdu Bazaar on Friday.

According to initial investigation, a man was making tea on the first storey of a plaza when the fire started. It is not yet known whether the fire was caused by a cylinder explosion or gas leakage.

The fire spread quickly as a huge quantity of combustible material was all around. Soon the area was filled with heavy smoke. Three persons were trapped inside the building when the people called rescue teams.

Police, Rescue 1122 and the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) reached the spot and launched the rescue operation. They evacuated the injured persons from the building but were unable to find a man due to high intensity of fire. When the rescuers...
