Okara records 527,887 houses in census.

OKARA -- There are 527,887 houses in the district as the house counting has been completed in the three tehsils of the district: Okarfa, Dipalpur, and Renal Khurd.

District Coordinator for Census Shakil Ahmad Saqib said this at a review meeting, also attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr Zeeshan Hanif, and additional deputy commissioners Zahid Iqbal, and Chaudhry Tahir Amin.

The meeting learned that the district has been divided into 2,689 blocks and currently 13,667 staffers are working in the field to complete the national census task, supervised by 215 staffers under foolproof security arrangements.
