Nottinghamshire cancels Abbas's contract due to uncertainty over county championship.

KARACHI -- English county club Nottinghamshire have canceled county contract of pacer Mohammad Abbas amid uncertainty over the County Championship due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The 30-year-old had to play nine Championship games before joining Pakistan's Test squad for the England series.

As the county is hoping that the season will get underway on August 1, but Pakistan seamer Abbas will not feature, even if four-day cricket takes place as he is part of Pakistan's 29-member squad for England series.
