Non-bailable warrant issued for absconding suspect in boy's lynching case.

KARACHI -- A sessions' court has issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of a suspect who absconded after obtaining pre-arrest bail in a case pertaining to the alleged lynching of a teenage suspect by a mob.

The police booked and detained several suspects, including Bilal Khuda Bux, for allegedly torturing to death 17-year-old Rehan within the remit of Bahadurabad police station.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (East) Rasool Bux Solangi took up an application filed by Bilal Khuda Bux seeking confirmation of his pre-arrest bail. However, the applicant himself failed to appear before the court.

Taking notice of his absence, the judge issued the non-bailable warrant for his arrest. The judge also directed the investigating officer of the case to arrest the suspect, who had absconded after obtaining bail before arrest, and produce him before the court on Nov 4.

Five suspects - including Daniyal Yousuf, Zubair Khan, Anas, Shariq and Masood - are already in judicial custody in connection with the present case.

The suspects claimed that Rehan was trying to rob a house within the remit of the Bahadurabad police station on Aug 17.
