No sign of let-up in spread of Covid-19.

SIALKOT -- Covid-19 cases spiked to a new level in Sialkot, Jhang and Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday.

In all 43 cases were reported from Sialkot, Chiniot, Jhang, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sheikhupura.

In Sialkot, the local administration sealed neighbourhood Dhaarowal after 14 Covid-19 cases, all from a family, were detected in the area.

Earlier, Sialkot city's Islamabad locality, Daska city and Badiana town in Pasrur were sealed because of the mass coronavirus cases.

Rescue 1122 teams are disinfecting the parts of Daska city, which will remain sealed till May 9, Assistant Commissioner Asif Hussain Mehdi says. Also, the recently formed Tiger Force has also been deputed on special duty of ensuring implementation on lockdown.

This newly-formed Tiger Force has been working in the red zone of Daska city to provide relief items to the family. Ironically, no personal protection equipment were given to the force.

BAHAWALPUR: Fifteen medics and paramedics of the cardiac centre of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital have tested negative for coronavirus for the second time.

CHINIOT: Three more hospital employees tested positive while the doctor, who earlier tested positive for Covid-19 turned out to be a negative case on Monday.

Health Chief Executive Officer Dr Mushtaq Bashir told reporters that three more employees of the Islamia Hospital tested positive for the virus. The hospital came under the shadow of the virus after the doctor's positive report.

The fresh cases have been shifted to the quarantine centre at FAST University while their houses have also sealed.
