No let-up in street crimes in Pindi.

RAWALPINDI -- More than 55 incidents of street crime were reported to the police in the garrison city, however, neither any arrest has been made so far nor items recovered.

Dr Bushra complained to Banni police that she was at Modern Dental Store when two persons entered and snatched her jewellery before escaping.

Mohammad Muneeb was robbed of Rs35,000 and a mobile phone by two unidentified gunmen in the jurisdiction of New Town police. Shakeel Ahmad told Sadiqabad police that Mehtab Ahmed withdrew Rs1,925,000 from a bank and handed the amount to him. He said he along with Wajid and Abdullah was going to Sadiqabad when they were blocked by two motorcycle riders near Dhoke Paracha. He said they were held at gunpoint and the money was snatched from them.

Mohammad Taha Akbar lodged an FIR with police, stating that he was on his way to Asghar Mall Road after collecting Rs500,000 from his shop when he was intercepted by two motorcyclists near TB Hospital.

He said the two robbers snatched the bag containing cash and ATM cards from him and escaped.
