No conspiracy against army will be tolerated, says PTI leader.

KARACHI -- Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that his party will never support any move to derail democracy but the law, justice and the Constitution should be equal for all.

Mr Sheikh, the parliamentary party leader of the PTI in the Sindh Assembly, was addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.

He said it was not fair play that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is a convict, was allowed to go to London on the pretext of his illness, but a seriously ill man [Pervez Musharraf] was asked to travel back and record his statement.

He said retired Gen Musharraf was tried in absentia while the cases of former finance minister Ishaq Dar and sons of Nawaz Sharif, Husain and Hassan, were not being tried in absentia.

He said Musharraf, who was convicted under Article 6, was not given an opportunity to record his statement or have a lawyer.

He said as a political worker 'we will never support abrogation of the Constitution by a dictator.
