Next city mayor from PPP, claims Wahab.

KARACHI -- City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Saturday that the next mayor of Karachi would be from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Talking to media after inaugurating the Rashid Rabbani Family Park in Clifton, he said that the provincial government was trying not to impose new taxes in the forthcoming provincial budget.

He said that property tax would be collected by local governments from the next financial year and it was expected that utility charges would also be included in electricity bills, which would help local governments to stand on their own feet.
