New talent from PSL will boost Pakistan cricket: Danny Morrison.

DUBAI -- Former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison has said the new and emerging talent from Pakistan Super League (PSL) will boost Pakistan cricket.

'When you've got all these franchise T20 leagues, a lot of the people like to look at the superstars,' Morrison said while speaking to Geo News. 'But I like to watch the youngsters coming through, the guys who maybe have played one or two PSL's.'

When asked which youngster has impressed him in this year's tournament, the 53-year-old New Zealand native said, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf.

'I mean look at Shadab. He is only 20 and he has already filled in as captain for Islamabad United,' Morrison said. "Haris is another one who has impressed me as a spinner for Lahore Qalandars."

He added, he had always been impressed and enjoys watching the raw talent that is found and developed from the rural areas. 'Lot to be excited about, especially the spinners,' he added.
