New SOPs devised for building plans, housing schemes.

RAWALPINDI -- The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Saturday approved new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for building plans and housing schemes.

RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza chaired a meeting, which was attended by Director Administration and Finance Khalid Javed Goraya and other officials.

The RDA chairman said the Punjab government has taken into consideration the policy of providing assistance and facilities to the construction sector in getting approval for its projects from various departments.

He said the department has set a time limit for the approval of projects in four areas and directed for making it easier for them to get approval from the departments.He said the department would be bound to submit its complete documents and approve the submitted maps or other related matters within the stipulated time.

The general public is advised to take approval from the RDA for various works...
