New criteria for VCs' appointment challenged in court.

SUKKUR -- The Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court on Thursday issued notices to provincial Higher Education Commi-ssion (HEC) and Sindh government, directing their representatives to appear in court on Nov 24, to explain their position on purported change in criteria for the appointment of vice chancellors to public universities in the province.

The bench issued the directive on a petition filed by Prof Ghulam Qadir Shar, challenging the criteria for the appointment of VCs as described in a recent advertisement by the HEC.
