National Skill University VC appointed.

ISLAMABAD -- President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the appointment of Prof Dr Mohammad Mukhtar as Vice Chancellor of first ever National Skill University (NSU), Islamabad.

According to a notification issued by Education Ministry on Oct 18, President, in pursuance of clause 12(1) National Skill University, Islamabad Act, 2018 and being chancellor in terms of clause 8(3), has approved the appointment of Dr Mohammad Mukhtar as Vice Chancellor, National Skill University with immediate effect for a period of four years in terms of clause 12(3) of the NSU, Act 2018.

The act of the university was passed last year. The NSU will be set up at the building of National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE) in sector H-8.

'The NISTE is being converted into first ever proper National Skill University,' said an official of the education ministry.
