NAB recovered Rs141.54bn last year: chairman.

ISLAMABAD -- The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered Rs141.54 billion, besides completing 747 inquiries and 269 investigations during last year, said the anti-graft watchdog's annual report.

NAB Chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal on Thursday presented the annual report for 2019 to President Dr Arif Alvi.

According to the National Accountability Ordinance 1999, the NAB chairman has to present the annual report to the president every year. Usually, the report is presented to the president in March but this year it was a bit late.

An inside source said NAB would share the complete report with the media next week.
