NAB is all free in its investigation and action: Qureshi.

ISLAMABAD -- Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday announced to present National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Ordinance 2019 in the Parliament asking parliamentarians to put forth workable and positive suggestions for further improving the ordinance and he said that NAB is all free in its investigation and action.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in a statement, rejected the impression that NAB is being used for arm-twisting of political opponents, saying that the ordinance has its due period and then it will be forwarded to parliament where the opposition will also present its stance on it.

This draft law will be brought to Parliament for legislation, the foreign minister said, asking parliamentarians to give suggestions, if they wish, in this regard.

He said that reforms in the NAB law were long overdue as a special parliamentary committee was also set up during the previous PML-N tenure for the purpose.
