NAB files appeal against acquittal of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in RPP case.

ISLAMABAD -- National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed an appeal against acquittal of former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and other accused in Rental Power Project (RPP) case.

According to details, the anti-graft watchdog in its appeal states that acquittal of Raja Pervaiz and other accused by Islamabad Accountability Court despite presence of evidence against them, is against the law. NAB has requested the court to quash the acquittal of all the accused.

Earlier, the accountability court acquitted former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, former finance minister Shaukat Tareen and others accused in the Pir Ghaib Rental Power reference.
