NA body wants natural history museum to become self-reliant.

ISLAMABAD -- National Assembly Standing Committee on Science and Technology on Tuesday directed the Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH) to become self-reliant through different commercial activities as a lot of people visit there.

The committee, chaired by PML-N MNA Sajid Mehdi, directed the PMNH to prepare a feasibility report for establishing hotel, tea and coffee shops and other commercial activities and place before the ministry for arranging loan from international donors or from national banks.

Earlier, representative of PMNH, while explaining the working and performance of the organisation, informed the committee that PMNH was established on five acre land in 1976 near Shakarparian, Islamabad with four divisions like botanical science, earth science, zoological science and public service.
