NA body for provision of quality services at Polyclinic.

ISLAMABAD -- The National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination on Thursday ordered provision of required resources and ensure quality healthcare services in the Federal Government Services Hospital.

The committee, which met at the hospital, known as Polyclinic, also directed its management to ascertain the hospital's requirements including infrastructure, human resource and equipment so that the health ministry could ensure resource allocation.

The committee members also stressed the need for provision of healthcare facilities in different parts of the capital in order to ease the burden on Polyclinic.

Members observed that Polyclinic being the tertiary care hospital was also providing services of primary care hospital.

The committee, which met under the chairmanship of MNA Dr Mohammad Afzal Dhandla, visited various sections of the hospital and enquired after the patients admitted in the hospital.

The committee appreciated the services that were being offered in the hospital. The Executive Director (ED) Polyclinic Dr IU Baig, apprised the committee members of the ongoing expansion and up gradation work of various facilities.
