My son has nothing to do with politics, clarifies JUI leader after NAB notices.

ISLAMABAD -- Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) senior leader and former senator Haji Ghulam Ali has termed as baseless the recent notices sent to his son by the National Accountably Bureau (NAB).

Ghulam Ali while talking to The Nation said that his son Fayaz Ali is a businessman and he had nothing to do with politics; but still NAB had summoned him which is beyond thinking.

Haji Ghulam Ali maintained that back in 2001 he was arrested by the accountability body and all his family members including his sons were booked in the case. After nine years of consecutive hearings he was released by the accountability court as case against him was proved wrong and baseless.

He further claimed that accountability court in its verdict had said that the case against Fayaz Ali was fake and baseless and he was an independent businessman and was paying taxes to the government.
